Text analysis for OS X

First, let me say that I'm not a Mac user (not by conviction, it's just a convenience thing).

Still, Matthew Weinstein has recently posted releases of TAMS Analyzer, an open source qualitative text analysis software.

Of course, not being a Mac user, I can't tell you much more. But now you know it's there.

I've been using TAMS analyzer for a few years now, having stumbled upon it while searching for any free qualitative analysis software for the Mac. I've been pretty happy with it thus far. After taking a UMich short course on NVivo, I realized that I definitely like TAMS much better. The interface does have a learning curve (as to be expected), but once learned, it's fairly straightforward. I've found the link with GraphViz to be particularly useful in preparing graphics for reports.
