Spatial social science

Last December, the Center for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences* (UIUC) hosted "Spatial Thinking in the Social Sciences and Humanities."

The ten speakers addressed a range of issues, from Fundamental Spatial Concepts (Goodchild - UC Santa Barbara), to Enterprise and the Wealth of Villages (Townsend - U Chicago), to Political Science Across Time and Space (Cho UIUC), and more. Each is available as a RealPlayer video.

*CHASS is a "virtual institute" of the NSF-funded EPIC (Engaging People in Cyberinfrastructure) program, with the mission to "identify, create, and adapt computational tools that will accelerate research and education in the humanities, arts, and social sciences."
