Zotero@MITH

The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities is having Dan Cohen (George Mason) on campus tomorrow (3.13) to present on "Zotero and the Promise of Social Software in Academia." His talk will be in MITH's Conference Room, B0135 McKeldin from 12:30-1:45pm.

Dan is a History professor with an interest in the role of computing in scholarship. In addition to his work on Zotero, he published "Digital History: A Guide to Gathering, Preserving, and Presenting the Past on the Web," a well-reviewed guide for practitioners.

Addendum: I just got back from Dan's talk - fascinating stuff, I'm quite intrigued to see where this evolves. I especially like the "scholarly primitives" and the Web 2.0 aspects of the project.
