MS Office save as PDF
Okay, so it still doesn't convert from pdf to Word, but this is still a useful too. In June, MS quietly released an add-in that allows users of Office '07 to save any file in that suite to pdf form.

On the mac any file that can be printed can be created as a pdf. This is a system-wide service; it works out of the box with no plug-ins.
Ah yes, the miraculous inter-operability of Mac OS.
I run XP/Bootcamp on a Macbook, mostly due to the limited availability of certain "boutique" applications for Mac OS. Still, I find myself switching to Mac OS whenever I need to do virtually anything involving media drivers. Brilliant technology.
